The coming week is going to be a thrilling one from the sim racing perspective. Starting next Saturday, these three gripping events await you.

Bobby Zalenski is the current eNASCAR-star

The 2020 eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series will head into the second week of playoffs on October 20. The Kansas Speedway will be the stage of the second showdown between the 40 participants before the final round of playoffs on October 27.

Last week's glorious victor was Bobby Zalenski who is also the current first-placed in the overall tournament and already looking forward to the finale on November 3.

Bobby Zalenski deserves to celebrate his victory: the American led the other racers throughout the entire race and secured first place after a clear performance. After finishing the race, Zalenski himself was astonished at his sixth win in a row and put his thoughts into words:

I don’t know how we’re still able to do this, me and my team. You put all this preparation in, and somehow you’re able to maximize every aspect every time, understanding the cars and tires and (so on). I’m just happy we’re going to Homestead – that’s the goal. A road course is a road course, but we’re trying to win a championship and get to Homestead.

The tournament is currently dominated by five highly-skilled racers that are obviously in the best positions to take the title, but the coming week of playoffs will show whether or not the potential champions can hold their positions and how their duel among themselves will play out.

V10 R-League enters its final round

The sixth round of the V10 R-League was raced out on October 12 at Spa-Francorchamps. So far, Porsche Redline is undefeated in the tournament, with six wins in six racing rounds. However, Williams Esports has lost only once in round five against Red Bull Racing Esports Team and is hungry to take over first place. In the final racing match, the two teams will face each other in a gripping showdown.

Which of the two top teams can secure the title and claim their prize money will be determined on October 19 at Yas Marina. The broadcast will begin at 6 PM CEST and you can find out where to tune in to the live show right here.

On the other side of the table, Team Fordzilla brings up the rear of the tournament. The team suffered its sixth defeat in six racing rounds against Red Bull Racing Esports at Spa-Francorchamps. The match-up against JAESA Team Suzuki will not be any easier for Ford's esports racing team, as JAESA even triumphed over Red Bull in the first round of the tournament.

iRX-Champ deJong might be dethroned

On Saturday, the competitors of the 2020 iRacing Rallycross World Championship raced out its third round at the Atlanta Motor Speedway. The previous week's round #2 ended with Jonne Ollikainen seeing the chequered flag first and celebrating his victory after a disastrous start in round one of the tournament.

Before round three, Ollikainen was in second place behind Jon Robertson, lacking only four points to first place and being seven points ahead of last year's champion Mitchell deJong. These very close standings will also influence the fourth round of the tournament on October 24 which will take place on the Iowa Speedway. Depending on the coming rounds, the drivers occupying first places might still alternate, giving deJong the chance to defend his title. Whether or not he manages to do so will be broadcast live on iRacing's YouTube channel at 8 PM CEST.
