The Porsche Asia Pacific Forza Cup is around the corner and brings the best Forza Motorsport 7 players of the region together on October 31. The prize awaiting the winner of Porsche's latest regional FM7 competition will be an all-expenses paid track experience at Porsche's Experience Centre at the Hockenheimring in Germany. Additionally, the top three finishers of the Grand Finals will also be awarded a Tag Heuer watch and $500 of Hugo Boss store credit.

The 16 finalists qualified during a three-week qualification process, which featured time trial events at three legendary circuits - Bathurst, Nürburgring and Le Mans. Gamers scored points for their position at the end of each event and the top 16 highest-ranked drivers after the three weeks earned a place in the final.

Australian 'Unleash IG' claimed fourth place in the qualification standings, but he won't advance to the final because there's a maximum of three spaces per country and the top three drivers were all Australian.

Williams Esports' coach Christopher 'Craviator' Farkas topped the qualification standings, alongside his countryman Geoff Newton (LSEM Newton). Craviator placed third in the first qualifier, won the second and set the second-quickest time in the final one, while Newton ranked first, second and third in the three qualifiers. The top three was completed by 'LagALotIG', another Australian. Although time trials don't tell the whole story, the consistent performances of the three players qualify them as tournament favorites.

There will also be drivers representing New Zealand, the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and New Caledonia (France).

Grand Finals take field to motorsports classics

The finalists will race in the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 car across two races at Silverstone and Hockenheim. Qualifying will determine the grid for the Silverstone race, while there will be a full reverse-grid for the championship-decider at Hockenheim. Quite simply, the driver with the most points accumulated across the two races will be crowned the champion and scoop the prize driving experience.

You can watch the final on Porsche's YouTube channel at 6PM (GMT + 8 hours) on Saturday, October 31.
