IT’S A TIGHT AFFAIR IN THE 2020 ENASCAR COCA-COLA IRACING SERIES, WHILE GARCIA’S ON THE RISE IN THE W SERIES ESPORTS LEAGUE 2020.
Will Leahy retain his lead?
On Wednesday, 15 July, we move on to round ten of the eNascar Coca-Cola iRacing Series. In the upcoming round the drivers will battle it out on the New Hampshire Motor Speedway, where the standings could potentially change quite a bit.
Currently on top of the standings is Keegan Leahy of Denny Hamlin Racing, who drove to first place in round nine at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. There he beat out Chris Shearburn and industry legend Ray Alfalla, with his closest competitors Ryan Michael Luza and Garrett Lowe finishing in sixth and fourth place respectively. Leahy currently leads with a 19 points difference between place one and two.

We especially look towards former Ralleycross competitor Garrett Lowe in round ten, who currently sits at third place in the standings. Across all rounds Lowe hasn’t been able to secure a win yet, but leads the standings in top five finishes alongside Leahy. Although he’s been one of the most consistent drivers throughout all rounds, he’ll have to step up to overtake both current leader Leahy and Luza (who he’s tied with in points as of now).
After round ten we’ve only got four more races left in the eNascar Coca-Cola iRacing Series, with visits to the Michigan International Speedway, the Watkins Glen International, the Daytona International Speedway and the Darlington Raceway.
Can Houser win on Eldora Speedway once more?
On Monday, 13 July, the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Championship Series continues with round four. In the current standings it’s Hayden Cardwell on top after taking second place at the Volusia Speedway Park in round one and first place in round two at the Lernerville Speedway.
Cardwell didn’t do as well in round three, taking home sixth place. Instead it was Dylan Houser raced towards gold and makes a climb in the standings, moving to tenth place overall. Houser will be looking to retain the momentum he garnered in round three as the next race will take place at the Eldora Speedway, where Houser won his first career series victory. A feat he’ll surely want to repeat.

In the overall standings Cardwell still holds a sizeable lead however at 153 points, with Kendal Tucker trailing in second place with 130 points, a 23 point difference to Cardwell. The top three is rounded out by Evan Seay who currently sits at 129 points. Including the race at Eldora Speedway we’ve still got seven races to go in the competition.
Marta Garcia climbing up
In the W Series Esports League, the brand-new league for female drivers only, we’ll enter round six of the competition. At the moment, 25-year old Dutch racer Beitske Visser is still at the top of the standings with a 250 point total. After round five at Spa-Francorchamps, she still faces some competition from Irina Sidorkova who is a very consistent driver and, after a great performance, Marta Garcia.

Marta Garcia really showed up at round round of the W Series Esports League. In race one, she secured her first pole position in the competition by beating out Visser with two-tenths of a second. She would convert it to a race one win and performed very well in race two, finishing sicth, with Visser ending up in 15th place after some opening lap troubles. Garcia closed out a strong round five with a win in race three, once again leaving Visser in second place.
It’ll be interesting to see if Garcia can keep up this performance in round six, when the W Series Esports League moves to the Watkins Glen International.
