In the end it was not even close: Erhan Jajovski, one of the stars from Romain Grosjean’s esports racing team R8G Esports, displayed a dominant performance in Round 3 of the ADAC GT Masters eSports on Saturday. At the Hockenheimring, the Macedonian took pole position and translated this advantage into a start-to-finish victory, staying almost 9 seconds clear of his closest opponent Tim Jarschel.

Right at the beginning of the race, Jajovski and rank two of the leaderboard, Jack Keithley, engaged in a tough fight for the lead. Keithley tried to overtake his rival into the hairpin, but was sent spinning by the points leader Nikodem Wisniewski. Keithley wouldn’t recover from this incident and finished in 19th position overall.

Tim Jarschel, Bence Bánki and Gergo Baldi were in an exciting battle for second place, but in the end it was the German Jarschel who prevailed over his opponents. After this round, Erhan Jajovski now occupies third position in the standings with 40 points, and Jarschel second with 51. Although Wisniewski had to be content with finishing sixth, he is still five points ahead of Jarschel.

Red Bull without competition

Over four days, 18 teams competed in two divisions for their share of the $150,000 prize pool at the Le Mans Esports Series Super Final 2020. Each race day featured another era of motorsports at Le Mans. After each day, two teams per divison dropped out, which contributed to an even more exciting series. In the end, Red Bull Racing Esports (Pro) and LM Squad (Pro-Am) defeated their contenders.

While LM Squad trumped their archenemies from Hairpin Heroes by a mere four points, the Red Bulls earned more points than both of the other finalists Lazarus Racing and Williams Esports combined. Red Bull received $40,000 for their championship win, while LM Squad took home $20,000.
