British F4 Esports

The officially sanctioned esports series of the real world F4 British Championship enters its second season. 15 teams will have two drivers in the official FIA F4 car on iRacing competing for a driver’s and team’s championship.

Format

There are two races both 20 minutes in length, with the drivers setting the grid for the first race. For the second race though, it’s a reverse grid based on the finishing order of the first race. There’s a random draw of which finishing position from the first race starts first in the reverse grid, with every other driver ahead in race one also inverted.

The season consists of eight rounds, all on circuits in Britain. The prize pool has been increased from £6,000 from last season, and new teams have joined such as Aston Martin, Veloce and even David Beckham’s esports outfit Guild.

All rounds are streamed from the RaceSpot TV YouTube channel from 8pm-10:30pm CEST. The schedule is as follows:

Rd 1: Brand Hatch Indy – 27 September
Rd 2: Donington National – 4 October
Rd 3: Snetterton 300 – 11 October
Rd 4: Oulton Park Int. – 25 October
Rd 5: Silverstone GP – 8 November
Rd 6: Knockhill – 15 November
Rd 7: Donington GP – 22 November
Rd 8: Brands Hatch GP – 29 November

How to Get Involved

Whilst the British F4 Esports Championship itself isn’t open to just anyone, organisers Motorsport UK are running a secondary championship that is open to all holders of a Motorsport UK Esports membership. The FF1600 Esports Cup will have their two 15 minute-long races per meeting on the same broadcast as the British F4 Esports.
