World eX

Set up by 2010 Le Mans winner and 2013 DTM champion Mike Rockenfeller, World eX is a series that takes place on rFactor 2. It consists of professional real-life racing drivers and esports racers competing together in very powerful electric cars known as the eX ZERO. The winning team will receive money to donate to a climate conservation charity of their choice. 

Format 

Each individual round is made up of a 20 minutes long qualifying session, two 10 minutes long races, one 8 minutes long race and then a two lap dash. All competitors compete in the qualifying session, but they are then split into two quarter finals races for Pro class drivers and Esports class drivers. The top five from each race progress into the semi final race. 

After the semi final, the top Pro and top Esports drivers enter into the final. Both drivers will be automatically entered into the Super Final at the end of the season on the Nordschleife. The grid being decided by a medal system, based on which team has the most wins, seconds and thirds.
