The first reviews are out for Forza Horizon 5, and the newest addition to the open world racing series is certainly a hit! Set in a fictionalised version of Mexico, the game allows players to collect, modify and drive a huge number of cars in a variety of different and unique biomes. Want to drive to the top of a volcano? Sure thing! Want to fight your way through a dense jungle? No problem!

We recently got our own hands on the game and thought we would test things out for ourselves, and see what all the fuss is about! To hear our initial thoughts and feelings about the game, take a look at our video review now.

How good is Forza Horizon 5?

One of the first things that leaps out about Forza Horizon 5 is just how much content there is. There are already over 500 cars – and there are many more to come. The Mexican setting offers a great variety of biomes and landscapes to explore and drive through.

It’s not just the volume of content that is good, either. The quality is also significantly improved from Forza Horizon 4. One such area of improvement is in the engine sounds; a common source of complaint in FH4, these are now more or less on point in FH5. So it’s a treat for the ears, but how about for the eyes? Well, to be perfectly honest, it’s fantastic here too! The game features high quality graphics which are equal parts beautiful and believable.

However, while all this is great news for casual fans of racing games, or hardcore fans of casual games, is it still enjoyable for the iRacing and Assetto Corsa lovers of this world? It has often been said that Forza games should not be played with a racing wheel, but does this hold true for Forza Horizon 5? How is the force feedback? Give our video a watch to find out.
