Assetto Corsa Competizione expert Jardier has already walked us through choosing the most suitable car and generally getting started in ACC. For our latest tutorial, he will go into more detail about one of his favorite cars of the game: the Audi R8 LMS GT3. Knowing which buttons to push
For the Audi, Jardier usually prefers the aggressive setup. Besides that, it is important to note that every track and the respective weather conditions can have a huge impact on which settings are ideal for your race. Experimenting with tire pressure and the aerodynamics of your car can often be exactly what you need to maximize your driving potential. The Audi R8 LMS GT3 is one of the most reliable models in the game and therefore a good start to get the hang of this.
To demonstrate how Jardier found out the perfect settings for the Audi, he takes us with him as he tries out some optimizations with the car himself. On the track, the expert realized that his car was lacking speed on the long straights but oversteered in the curves. Jardier therefore focused on adjusting the aerodynamics and height of the vehicle with several settings until it performed the way he wanted.
Even though the settings menu in ACC can look overwhelming at the beginning, it is mostly only small changes that will make the difference to your performance. Jardier will patiently walk you through adjusting your setup for different cars and tracks.
