Speculations were running hot in the community of Assetto Corsa Competizione right after Kunos Simulazioni posted a screenshot of a mysterious track on Twitter. Loyal ACC enthusiasts impressively identified the location to be Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari, better known as Imola. They were certain that the tweet was a teaser for an upcoming addition to the game. On November 4, Kunos Simulazioni finally proved them right.

Brand-new cars and liveries

Although the rumors were correct, it is not only a single track that will be added to the infamous sim racing title: A whole DLC is coming to ACC in November. Besides Imola, the 2020 GT World Challenge Pack DLC will feature all liveries from the actual event as well as various updates on the game and even two entirely new cars: the Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo will join ACC as well as the Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo.

In the new DLC, Kunos Simulazioni took the opportunity to refine some general aspect about the sim racing title as well. With – among other changes – updated weather models and enhanced AI algorithms, the company hopes to improve the overall racing experience.

While the new DLC does not have a distinct release date yet, it is clear that it will at first only be available for PC. However, console gamers don’t have to feel left out, as Kunos Simulazioni has already reassured the community that console versions are definitely coming as well.
