How does it work?
With the qualifiers having started on 4 April, players are able to begin hot lap qualifying which is the first of eight phases for players in Europe and America. On the original Assetto Corsa, players will be driving the 488 Challenge Evo whereas on ACC they’ll be using the 488 GT3 EVO.
After the hot lap qualifying, the top 24 enter into a qualifying race and the top three from all of these eight races automatically progress to their respective regional final (13 September for Europe, 14 September for North America). After both regional final races on each Assetto Corsa platform, the top three from Europe and North America will travel to Italy and compete in an on-site evaluation grand finale.
It will be there where the next Ferrari esports driver will be found in a winner-takes-all battle on 2 October that will feature what Ferrari are calling an “innovative format that will be disclosed just after the regional finals”.
