According to an official Porsche Twitter account, “technical issues” led to the cancellation of the event. There has been no further information as to which exact problem caused the issues. A replacement date for the Nordschleife race has not been communicated either.
The broadcast of the even had begun as usual. The Porsche Esports Sprint Challenge drove its qualifying and race in the Green Hell without any circumstances. “Don’t go anywhere, we got more action to come,” the commentators teased after the end of the support race. But the main event did not go live afterwards.
Technical problems had occured before
Round four of the competition had already faced technical difficulties. A white flag bug caused the sprint race at Circuit de la Sarthe to go for an additional lap. This led to many drivers running out of fuel and heading to the pits which in the end shook up the entire standings.
