Le Mans Ultimate System Requirements - Minimal and Recommended PC Specs

Le Mans Ultimate System Requirements: Minimal & Recommended PC Specs

Le Mans Ultimate

As part of the big news day for Le Mans Ultimate, Motorsport Games has also published the system requirements for the title that is due to launch in Early Access on February 20, 2024.

As they further improve, racing games and simulations need more and more hardware performance to make more intricate physics and graphics work. This also means that some sim racers will have a difficult time getting certain titles to run smoothly on their hardware. Luckily, Le Mans Ultimate does not appear to head down that route.

LMU‘s trailers, including the most recent one, look far from bad – quite the contrary, actually. In case you have started chewing your fingernails yet thinking about whether or not your rig can run the game, feel free to relax. The Le Mans Ultimate requirements are rather low and that goes for the recommended specs as well. Note that they are aimed at running LMU at 1080p using default settings, though.

Of course, higher settings will require better hardware, but it looks like the starting point is fairly tame – although the specs listed are slightly above those of Assetto Corsa Competizione, for instance. However, ACC’s usage of Unreal Engine 4 makes it notorious for being difficult to run smoothly while looking decent on low to mid-range PCs.

LMU is built on the same engine as rFactor 2, which is relatively easy on hardware. In fact, the Le Mans Ultimate system requirements are almost an exact match when compared with those of rF2 – so even “potato hardware”, as it is so often referred to, should be able to run LMU decently without problems. We will see for sure once the game hits early access on February 20.

I have been working in sim racing since 2021 after previously working with pro and amateur sports teams and athletes for a daily newspaper in Wolfsburg. Nothing gets me more excited than motor racing, especially with the beastly machines of the past. A third pedal and h-shifter are not just options for a rig, they are mandatory to me.
