The best esports racing wheels money can buy

From Thrustmaster to Fanatec: Dave Gaming tests the best racing wheels in our buyer’s guide.

This episode of our hardware review is all about the big bucks. High-class steering wheels not only outdo one another in price, but also in unique features and realism. Dave Gaming looks at the best wheels money can buy and tells you which ones will be a good choice depending on what kind of esports racer you are.

Thrustmaster TS-XW Racer

The official replica of the Sparco P310 racing wheel immediately strikes you with its characteristic D-shape. For a price of €700, you won’t only get a good wheel. The Thrustmaster TS-XW Racer is also the only wheel on our list that comes with separate set of pedals.

Although they fit into the overall design, the pedals cannot match the quality of the wheel from a technical perspective. The hardware is compatible with PC and Xbox One.

Simagic M10 DDW

Thanks to its wide diameter of 30 centimeters, the Simagic M10 DDW is an all-round talent for all kinds of racing classes. The force feedback motor of the wheel is controlled by three CPUs. The feedback can be saved into multiple profiles for drift, road racing or off-road adventures.

Unfortunately, the Simagic M10 DDW is compatible with PC only. The bundle of base and steering wheel costs around €1200.

Fanatec Podium Racing Wheel F1

The officially licensed replica of an F1 wheel is the costliest candidate on our list. Fanatec is famous for high-class racing hardware which the Podium F1 proves. Not only the design is on F1 level, but also the force feedback. With a torsional moment of up to 15 newton meters, it can be a real test for your muscles.

But the high quality also has its price. The bundle of Fanatec Podium wheelbase and F1 wheel costs around €1800. It is compatible with PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
