The Ultimate Monitor Guide with Dave Gaming

The famous YouTuber tells you everything you need to know about monitors for racing games.”Do I need an ultrawide curved screen or a triple-monitor setup? Or does one regular display suffice?” If you have ever asked yourself any of these questions, you’ve come to the right place! YouTuber and sim racing expert Dave Gaming explains what you should keep in mind when buying monitors to play racing games.

Single, curved or triple?

What kind of monitor is best for you depends on many factors. How much budget do you have? Is your PC powerful enough for the hardware you intend to buy? What degree of immersion are you aiming for? And how much space do you have at home? What constitutes the perfect screen is really linked to your answers.

If you are on a low budget, this is no problem at all! Dave shows you solid options for single-monitor setups which range from as little as €130 up to €600. After all, you don’t have to spend a fortune to enjoy sim racing. You could also go for an ultrawide model which you can get from €200 already, however, they require a more powerful graphics card to process the additional pixels.

A triple-monitor setup gives you the most immersive feeling. But it requires, as you might have guessed, three displays. This can be quite costly and if you choose more sophisticated models for your setup, it adds a lot to the overall price. Although you can get a decent triple setup for under €500, you should rather consider the first two options, especially if you are new to sim racing and don’t have the hardware to support that many screens.
