The second round of the 2021 Porsche TAG Heuer Esports Supercup treated its audience with two extremely entertaining race segments on Saturday night. First off were the two All-Star races in which content creators and real-life drivers battled it out at virtual Catalunya for two breathtakingly close rounds.
The fastest driver on the grid was Porsche works driver Matt Campbell. He narrowly beat Emily Jones in qualifying but went on for a strong start-to-finish victory in race one, while being almost five seconds faster than his competitors.
#PESC - This was thrilling @iRacing action: Porsche works driver @mattcampbell22_ wins the All-Star sprint race of the #Porsche @TAGHeuer #Esports #Supercup @Circuitcat_eng with the #911GT3Cup. Broadbent's redemption ends in drama
Race two allowed the less lucky drivers to start in front due to the reversed grid, one of them being YouTube sensation Jimmy Broadbent. The Brit has been extensively unlucky so far. The first round at Interlagos already left him trailing behind after contact with Will Ford, the man behind the YouTube channel Boosted Media, and this round turned out to be no different. Race one left him 13th after a small incident early in the race. After a hyper-competitve second race it all came down to a battle between him, Quickgabi and the flying Matt Campbell.

In the end, Quickgabi put on a masterclass performance to take home the victory in race two. Matt Campbell barely missed the double-victory and Jimmy Broadbent was left spinning out.
Coanda dominates in sprint
Do you want to hear an insane statistic? Prior to this round Joshua K Rogers got 18/21 pole positions in the two previous seasons of the Porsche TAG Heuer Esports Supercup. Add another one to that. Rogers and Coanda Simsport teammate Mitchell deJong were head and shoulders above everyone when they took pole and second place. Both of them couldn't be beaten in the sprint race as Josh took a start-to-finish victory.

A great effort from last years champion Sebastian Job took him to eight place after seemingly botching the qualifying and starting in 16th. He therefore secured the pole position in the Feature race due to the reversed grid rule. Job took his time and gave everything in the last lap. After putting the pressure on Tommy Østgaard, he forced a big mistake from the Norwegian racer. Østgaard was left spinning and the reigning champion took his position.

This move came in handy for Job later on.
The return of the King
This Feature race saw another straight victory with a measured and controlled drive from Red Bulls's Sebastian Job. The pole position after the reversed grid came in handy for the Brit.
The reigning champion didn't seem too happy with everything, though. In his post-race interview, Job said:
He also tweeted right after the race.
Still very disappointed with what happened in qualifying however, big changes needed...— Sebastian Job (@G2Sebi) January 16, 2021
Right behind Job, a fighting Joshua K Rogers showed his exceptional racecraft as he battled his way up to second place after starting eight in the feature.
