After confirmation of its early access delay to January 2025, Assetto Corsa EVO will have its official reveal showcasing gameplay footage in only a couple of days!

Perhaps the most hotly anticipated sim racing title right now is the true follow-up to 2014's Assetto Corsa, which despite being over ten years old is still going strong with support for mods. Officially revealed to be named Assetto Corsa EVO back in April, it was initially set for release in Spring 2024.

But after Kunos gave the fans of the sister title Assetto Corsa Competizione what they wanted in the form of the Nordschleife, they pushed EVO back for a Summer release this time in early access. Unfortunately, they did not make that window and have delayed it until January 2025.

Whilst they could not get the game released before summer was out, they will be making up for it in the form of an official announcement trailer on the Assetto Corsa YouTube channel. The video will go live on 30 September at 2pm CEST.

What We Know So Far

AC EVO has already got its Steam page up and ready for everyone to add to their wishlist, and with it are all of the system specs recommended, all of which can be found here. Additionally, all of the cars and tracks that have already been officially confirmed can be seen on our official content page which we will keep updated in the lead-up to and after the full release.

In addition, Kunos has stated that virtual reality implementation is a high priority for the game's launch. After the game leaves early access, a console release is set for late 2025.

Perhaps that is the most official information we know about ACE, but undoubtedly, plenty more will be revealed in the announcement trailer. Bookmark it or click the video above!

Another racing game is not needed. Especially another "beta access".

Here is a thought. Take a series like IMSA, WEC. Update the cars every time there are changes by the manufacturers. If a new track is added, roll that out too. Sell all of that as DLC's to generate revenue. Constantly improve things like graphics, AI, user interface, online experiences, hardware support, replays and feel.

In other words, do what Codemasters so horribly tried to do, correctly. And stop trying to come up with new games.

The plan is for a console release to at the very least follow after the full release and they have that for late 2025.
Thank you @Luca [OT] . I'm counting on them to make it on time. On the other hand, delays in game industry are a new tradition, and that doesn't always affect product's good quality. That's where my concerns come from. Early access during the summer is probably not the best idea, but I could be wrong, because I pay more attention to release dates (I mean finished product):p In any case, I'm keeping my fingers crossed:)

EDIT: I see I'm a good one:D I wrote about 'finished product' when in fact all sim-racing games evolved over a years and are finished (in final shape) after a decade or so:D

Looking forward to see the video, at least this is official news, also a released date in January 16, that is good as well. It says Early Access, seems like the new norm.
I like Early Access, it gives time to experiment with what is there and then some new stuff comes along,
I have no issue with that, particularly if the little we get works well.

I don't think that EA is a new norm. Kunos released AC and ACC with EA programms so I didn't expect anything different. We have this approach since ten years now partly due to the costs involved in relation to the very low prices for the consumer softwares.

I just hope that people set their expectations accordingly and don't crucify Kunos in the first months if something doesn't work. Maybe this time people get the memo that nobody is forcing anyone.

Around 9 months of delay, that's huge. I wonder what happened. It is not about some polishing, it is concerning.

And for once, let's mention the publisher's patience, financing all of this delay. Let's hope Kunos won't fail this time, because the game release mist probably won't be postponed again.

Yes. First impressions about ACC was a massive mistake, at least from me for sure. Must hold down at least couple days of experience to put first impressions boldly. Even more so, as there might be couple meaningful hotfixes.

My expectations: a good simcade right on the edge on being a sim. But if it turns out to be proper uncompromised simulation, ready to dissapoint typical AC paradigm believer, then I will be surprised. It is about subtle details, but those subtle details makes whole difference.

Publisher patience? 505 games is a Digital Bros brand that owns it as it does Kunos, so it is Digital Bros' choice to postpone the release.

Well I don't know who said it but it rings true. A delayed game is eventually good but a rushed game will always be bad.

How can some people just have such unbelievably terrible opinions?

I hope they publish articles in their forum about new physics features like Aris did when ACC was released. I just wonder how they are going to fare now without Stefano's input.

Finally tomorrow some gameplay footage. Will it look as good as GT7?

AC's cockpits always looked very realistic, so this EVO should look more detailed.
And new 3D trees species, I guess, for more immersion, and we are good to go.

I'm sorry for question but is your expectation something like Project Cars 3 in comparision to Project Cars 2? Am I understand it correct?

No offense, but I don't unerstand this obsession about graphics in simracing nowadays, especialy if AC looked very good allready. I for one would be fine if the content looks as good as in AC with stuff like weather and some proper racing features added on top of it. It would also be nice if they added the missing physics features like radiators and more sophisticated brake systems that were lacking in AC. And why is nobody asking for competent AI, rolling starts or proper pitstops? The sound in vanilla AC was abysmal. There comes alot of stuff into my mind that could be improved compared to AC and the first thing that some people come up with is "MOAAAAAAAR GRAFIXXX". :p
