Racing games on Steam Sale

Steam is currently running its autumn sale until November 29, with a lot of racing games at a reduced price.

Codemasters’ newest Formula One game F1 22 is 50 percent off. For those prefer running an F1 team over driving for it, F1 Manager 22 is also discounted by 35 percent.

Full-on racing simulations are also on sale on Steam. For example, Assetto Corsa Competizione is 70 percent off, and rFactor2 is reduced by 50 percent.

More Games with Special Offers

Apart from the Steam Sale, some simulations are also having their own Black Friday sale. iRacing is offering a 25 percent discount for one- or two-year subscription extensions and even a 50 percent for beginners. RaceRoom offers various cars and racetracks for -50% in their shop.

Black Friday: Hardware on Discount Everywhere

A lot of sim racing hardware manufacturers have special offers for us racers at the ready. For example, Fanatec is giving up to 33 percent discount on their pedal sets, and also ten percent off each wheel.

For beginners who do not have the funds for a costly Fanatec wheel, Logitech and Thrustmaster are also offering discounts for their entry level wheels and pedals on their websites.

For those who want to step up their racing outfits, brands like Sparco are also selling racing shoes or gloves for a lower price.

As always on Black Friday, it is worth looking at offers on retail websites. In particular, the lightning deals can be a good way of saving money.

Check prizes and spot fake discounts

However, another rule of Black Friday is to check for fake discounts. Retailers like Amazon have been known for using unrealistic prices to discount from. That makes their offers look like a very good deal, which in fact they might not be.

To identify such fake discounts, it is useful to use price check websites. Not only can these websites tell your where you really find that keyboard, headset or monitor for the lowest price. They also document how much a product cost before Black Friday, helping you to find out whether you are really looking at a good deal or just a fake discount.
