EA has provided a first look at the EA Sports WRC 24 Season Expansion, which now has a confirmed release date.
When EA Sports WRC launched last November, it was unclear if it would spawn an annual series like the F1 games or become a platform to build on. EA gave us an answer back in July, confirming that cars and locations from the 2024 WRC season will be added in an expansion pack rather than a WRC 24 sequel.
Ahead of its release next month, EA has provided a first look at what fans can expect in the EA Sports WRC 24 Season Expansion.
New content will be split into three separate packs. Available in October 2024, the Locations & Car pack will introduce two new locations: the challenging Tet Rally Latvia and the Orlen 80th Rally Poland. Won by Kalle Rovanperä driving for Toyota, Latvia made its WRC debut this year in July. Set on gravel roads, it’s become one of the most challenging stages on the calendar. Meanwhile, Poland returns to the WRC calendar for the first time in five years. Both locations will feature 12 new challenging stages.
You’ll navigate these stages in five new 2024 season cars, including the new Rally1 hybrids from Ford, Hyundai, and Toyota. In WRC 2, you'll drive the all-new Toyota GR Yaris Rally2, while the Ford Fiesta Rally3 Evo will join the Junior WRC class.

Finally, the Hard Chargers pack will bring two newly updated stages in Spring 2025, including Umea in Rally Sweden and Harvati in Acropolis Rally Greece. More content will be revealed for the Le Maestros and Hard Chargers packs closer to release.
"WRC 24 Expansion delivers on our commitment to create the most authentic and thrilling rally experience and allow players to continue their rally journey,” Matthew Battison, Creative Director at Codemasters, commented. “The 2024 Expansion builds upon the base game with new content, breathtaking landscapes, and intense challenges that truly capture the essence of world-class rallying."
