Two-time F1 Esports world champion Brendon Leigh will switch racing team from Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team to FDA Hublot Esports Team for 2021. The change was announced on social media this Monday, including official statements from the newest Ferrari member.
My excitement in joining the FDA Esports team is off the scale. I’ve only just signed, but it’s already clear to me that their passion and commitment to winning mirrors my own. I get a sense of the unity within the team which makes it one big race-winning family.

Two world champions in one team
The switch to Ferrari also means that Briton Brendon Leigh is the new team-mate of David Tonizza. The Italian sim racer broke Leigh’s winning spree in 2019 as he made it to first place in the F1 Esports Series. This means that for the first time, one team can boast two world championships in their roster.
It is not yet known which driver will take over Leigh’s former spot at Mercedes.
