F1 Manager 22 launched last year and was, intially at least, a success. The studio responsible for it, Frontier Developments promised a follow-up. Now F1 Manager 23 is confirmed for a 31 July release.

The game will release for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. Not only that, but there are also some bonuses for pre-ordering the game.

What’s New For F1 Manager 23?

There are many new features in this year’s game. First, there is a brand new role to be filled within your team; Sporting Director. This key member of your staff is responsible for trackside operations, providing training for your pit crew to improve their statistics.

Pit crew training sessions are set on a month by month basis, and the player can choose between preset regimes or a custom plan. Players can plan to be balanced over all factors or focus more on honing one particular area.

Pit Stop Errors can occur as a result of not balancing certain areas, whilst pit crew fatigue is also a factor and may result in pit crew members needing rest days.

There is also a new stat called Driver Confidence. All drivers will start the race meeting with a baseline level of confidence, but that will change depending on how the player sets up the car and how long they get on track during practice.

With every incident or battle where they don’t come out on top, they can lose confidence.

Pre-Order Bonuses

There are two editions available for pre-order, the Standard and Deluxe Edition. In the Standard Edition, players gain access to three unique scenario modes for the brand new Race Moments gamemode. In this, the player is dropped into a random scenario with a target to aim for.

In the Deluxe Edition, a further twelve Race Moments and Starting Grid scenarios are available in the Exclusive Scenarios Pack. Additionally, players are able to play the game four days early, with it releasing 27 July.
