As of 15 September, Forza Motorsport 7 and all of its downloadable content will disappear from digital stores.

In a rather peculiar move, Microsoft and Turn 10 Studios have announced that Forza Motorsport 7 will no longer be available for purchase on the digital online store. This also means the game will disappear from the Game Pass. So if for any reason you want to pick up Forza Motorsport 7 and all of its DLC on your Xbox One or Xbox Series X/S, now is the time to do so as you have about six or so weeks left.
Plenty of old games get removed from online stores or have their servers shut down, however Forza Motorsport 7 is still the most recent installment of the Forza Motorsport series. It was released in 2017 and there hasn’t even been an announcement of the next Forza Motorsport game.
The spinoff series Forza Horizon has just had its latest installment – Forza Horizon 5 – announced for a 9 November 2021 release. However this still doesn’t explain why Microsoft and Turn 10 felt the need to remove Forza Motorsport 7 when the potential new game of the Motorsport series is, at the bare minimum, a year away from a release.

For those of you with a Game Pass and who have bought DLC for Forza Motorsport 7, you will recieve a code to permenantly install the game to your account so, when it does disappear from Game Pass, you won’t lose the game.
The game is currently on sale and prices differ across different editions. You can purchase the standard edition for the low price of £7.49/€9.99/$9.99 on the Microsoft store, the Deluxe Edition for £12.49/€12.49/$14.99 and for the Ultimate Edition with various DLC packs such as the Hoonigan and Fate of the Furious car packs, £17.49/€19.99/$19.99.
