Forza Motorsport: Road America and Fantasy Oval Confirmed

The next Forza Motorsport release is just two months away and Turn 10 is revealing details like Road America joining the track list along side a fantasy oval: Eagle Rock Speedway.

After many years of patient waiting, the next instalment of the Forza Motorsport franchise comes out in just two months. Earlier this year, Turn 10 announced a 10 October launch date meaning fans don’t have long to wait until the big day.

With release looming ever closer, Forza fans are now beginning to feel the wrath of the game’s Marketing team. More and more content, feature and screenshot reveals are taking place across social media. The most recent of which being a pair of locations joining the track list.

Road America in Forza Motorsport

The first of the two social media unveilings was the fact that Road America will be returning to the Forza Motorsport franchise. This legendary, fast paced circuit has featured in every FM title until now and will continue its streak with the new game.

With long straights and several ninety-degree bends, it doesn’t appear to be a complex track on paper. But each seemingly square-right or left has its own unique characteristics from elevation change to the radius to the turn, the run-off available and the flow preceding it. Furthermore, turns like the Carousel and the Kink make for particularly high-speed challenges.

Eagle Rock Speedway

Following the announcement that a fan favourite would continue featuring in the series was this. Turn 10 also revealed that a brand new oval would join the fray. Eagle Rock Speedway is seemingly a mid-size oval, likely around a mile or-so. It looks to feature low banking, resembling that of Phoenix in the real world although Eagle Rock does not have a dog leg.

The reveal trailer also shows off an all-new car arriving to the series; the 2020 Audi RS3. Since this car hit the market, it has been facelifted and even replaced by a new generation of car. However, with the 2020 iteration featuring in Forza Horizon 5, perhaps this was an easier port from the more laid back title. The question now is, will we see the newer version of the car later down the line?

Forza Motorsport track list

In the aftermath of this pair of reveals, we are now aware of a grand total of 14 circuits available to race on in Forza Motorsport. However, Turn 10 has already stated that 20 will feature from launch. Here is a run down of those we know so far:

  • Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya
  • Circuit des 24 Heures du Mans
  • Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps
  • Eagle Rock Speedway
  • Hakone Circuit
  • Indianapolis Motor Speedway
  • Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit
  • Laguna Seca Raceway
  • Maple Valley

Another six venues are yet to be announced leaving plenty of fans hoping to see the return of Forza oldies like Bernese Alps and the Top Gear test track. Others may well be hoping for real world racing venues from previous games like Monza, Sebring or Road Atlanta.
