Fans of the driver with more than 100 Grand Prix wins and seven world championships can enjoy some items designed by the man himself: Lewis Hamilton items are now available in Rocket League.
Formula One’s most decorated driver and statistically most successful of all time has partnered with Epic Games. Lewis Hamilton will have a skin of him and his bulldog Roscoe available in Fortnite.
But for us car game fans, there are also some items coming to Rocket League! Players can buy a bundle featuring an animated decal, rocket boost, trail and wheels. This is all for a limited time though, until 30 November.
Lewis Hamilton x Rocket League
There are two options available in the Item Shop for the ‘Lewis Hamilton Street Legal Bundle’. Firstly, there is one going for 1,000 credits and another for 1,500 credits.
For the first option, you get pretty much everything. There is the decal you can apply to almost any pre-existing car. It has all of Lewis’ signature colours of black, purple and yellow. Also featured are wheels, a rocket boost and trail, also in purple and yellow.
Beyond the car items are the player banner and title. When you score a goal, the striking purple and yellow lines will be in the background behind your username. Additionally, you can apply ‘SIR SUPERSONIC’ to go with it beneath that.
For an extra 500 credits, you can get a special version of the Octane. If you want to show off even more purple along with the decal, a painted Octane can be bought along with all the other items in the ‘Lewis Hamilton Street Legal Bundle’.
The only thing missing is his bulldog Roscoe, which may be a stretch to ask. But considering the beloved pooch joins Lewis in Fortnite, it does not seem too much to ask for to have him as a topper. Imagine that? Speeding round the pitch with Roscoe on top of your car.
What Else in Rocket League?
We covered not too long ago the addition of the Cars protagonist Lightning McQueen into Rocket League. The Lightning McQueen Mega Bundle is only available for a few more days until 21 November. Together with an emotive car body, three sets of decals, and even Rascal Flatts’ ‘Life is a Highway’ as a goal celebratory anthem.
Plus, for all fans of real vehicles, there are some Ford cars also available, albeit only for the remainder of 16 November. This includes the Bronco Raptor, Mustang Mach-E, F-150 and Mustang Shelby GT350R. Along with a range of decals, player banners and wheels.
Finally, the active Rocket Pass will expire after 6 December. Purchasing the Premium Pass grants you access to a classic Porsche 911, and tiering up to Level 35 unlocks a street racer version of the car. You do not have much longer if you want to get any of this in Rocket League!
