As we head towards a significant Forza Horizon 5 update, one of the new additions has been unveiled.
Following the relatively subdued Community Choice Festival Playlist in January for Forza Horizon 5, the flood of new content is about to restart.
To be clear, there were some new cars for the Mexican-based open-world title last month, but all were repurposed from prior Horizon releases.
Used as the image for the upcoming Forza Monthly reveal stream, the Lynk & Co 05+ is all-new.
The regular 05 is a fairly nondescript crossover with a sloped roofline for less boot space and rear headroom. But the + adds additional power and torque to the 2-litre turbocharged engine for 265 hp and 280 lb-ft.
It also features a natty body kit and a bright green paint job to go with the eight-speed gearbox and all-wheel drive. Two of its siblings are already in the game: the 03+ saloon and the racing brethren, the 03 TCR by Cyan Racing.
The Lunar New Year is celebrated by many cultures, including China, and with Lynk & Co being a Chinese brand part of the Geely group, the car’s inclusion could provide hints as to the series’ other contents.
The next Festival Playlist update is expected to begin on 1n 1st February 2024 with a stadium drift arena, dragon drone show and fresh collectables alongside the latest vehicles. All information will be unveiled on 26th January 2024, alongside what is described as a “sneak peek” for Update 5 in Forza Motorsport.
