In a continuation of his long-standing partnership with both the esports racing outfit Team Redline and also with Red Bull Racing, Max Verstappen has announced the creation of a new racing team that will compete in both virtual and real-world motorsport events. This new ‘Verstappen.com Racing’ team will be represented in esports by Team Redline. However, Verstappen.com Racing cars will feature the team’s own livery and branding.

The Best of Both Worlds

When it comes to esports ventures, the Verstappen.com Racing press release indicated that the team would at least be competing in the Virtual Le Mans series and in endurance events on iRacing. The release also included the phrase ‘and many more’, but no other specific series were mentioned. In these events, the team will field a “multinational mix of real and virtual drivers”.

Real world drivers will also compete for the team in physical motorsport events. For example, Max’s father Jos Verstappen will represent the team in the Belgian Rally Championship, as will the young ADAC GT Masters rookie Thierry Vermeulen.

Every competitor flying the new team’s flag will sport the Verstappen.com Racing livery. The paint-job will also feature aspects from Red Bull Racing, a founding partner of the team alongside Team Redline. The team’s logo prominently features Red Bull branding alongside that of the team itself.

Verstappen’s “Biggest Passion”

In the team’s announcement press release, Max Verstappen said that:

“Racing has always been my biggest passion in life, from the moment I first stepped into a go-kart until today… I am truly happy that, with the Verstappen.com Racing team, I can share the love for racing with drivers and teams I feel closely connected to. Apart from the fun it brings me, I can also share my racing knowledge with them, which hopefully helps everybody to improve themselves.”

The Dutch driver also reaffirmed his commitment to “the Red Bull family for many years to come” before adding that, “the close partnership with Red Bull as a company is also reflected in the fact that they are supporting the Verstappen.com Racing team for the coming years, which makes me very proud.”
