Racing on clean Formula 1 circuits in super-polished machines is a great premise for a video game. But sometimes, you simply want more dirt, stunts and action. Developer Milestone srl announced their newest title MXGP 2020 this Thursday, which is the official video game for this year’s FIM Motocross World Championship.

MXGP 2020 conforms to the official motocross season and features the 19 circuits located in Europe, Asia and South America. The game is also split into MXGP and MX2 classes and features a total of 68 riders.

New features are promised

In addition to portraying the 2020 season, developer Milestone srl announced several new features. A heightmap based track editor will make its debut in the game, where players can choose between four different terrain types and create their own tracks.

There will also be new Playgrounds in which you don’t have to follow a set track but can drive around freely. Playgrounds also come with a Co-op mode, and Milestone srl also teased dedicated servers for multiplayer modes.

When racing through Playgrounds, a new Waypoint Mode is introduced where you can set several waypoints, create own paths and race across them.
