IndyCar and Motorsport Games are teaming up to bring officially-licenced game to consoles and PC.

The American IndyCar Series have not had an official video game since 2004 when Codemasters created IndyCar Series 2005. The cars have since appeared in various Forza titles and also iRacing, but now with Motorsport Games, the series will launch a new game for Xbox, PlayStation and PC platforms.
In addition to the new game, IndyCar together with Motorsport Games will host its own esports series, details of which will be revealed at a later date.

An expanding kingdom
Motorsport Games – a subsidiary of Motorsport Network of which racing publication Autosport is a part of – are rapidly establishing themselves as a powerhouse already in the world of racing game development. As of now, they have acquired rFactor 2 and the karting simulator KartKraft. They also produce the NASCAR Heat games and are promising a video game based on the British Touring Car Championship.
They are fast becoming a force to be reckoned with in a market dominated by the likes of Codemasters’ F1 titles, Polyphony Digital’s Gran Turismo games and Turn 10 Studios’ Forza series.
