Porsche Asia Pacific and Porsche Cars Australia have announced a new esports series for the Asia Pacific region. The Porsche Asia Pacific Forza Cup, which is about to be staged on Turn 10 Studios’ Forza Motorsport 7, is open to all players from the region who own an Xbox Game Pass. 16 players will qualify through three qualifiers to represent their country in the Grand Finals on October 31.

The 16 finalists and the top three will receive prizes from Porsche Driver’s Selection and HUGO BOSS. The fashion label is the official sponsor of the competition, as Porsche revealed in the official league announcement. The champion will be awarded with the opportunity “to race on an iconic track in real life” at the Hockenheimring next year.

Qualifiers to begin soon

The qualifying stage will take participants to some of the most infamous and difficult tracks in motorsports. In three six-day-long Rivals Qualifier weeks, the players have to prove their worth on the Bathurst, Nürburgring Nordschleife and Le Mans circuits. The first round begins on September 29 and closes October 5. If you want to participate, you can sign up on the official website.

The 16 players who have accumulated most points qualify for the Grand Finals at the end of October. However, only three drivers per country are allowed at the final event to keep the competition as international as possible. Even if you don’t make it into the top 16, you will receive rewards. If you are among the top 20% of the players on the Rivals Qualifying leaderboard, you gain 3,000,000 In-Game Credits for Forza. The 30% below that get as many as 2,000,000 credits, the rest, which is half the participants, 1,000,000.

Top 16 to fight for the grand prize

To get their hands on the grand prize mentioned above, the contestants have to prevail in the Grand Finals. The last event features two races in a Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport. The first round of the finale sees the participants head to Silverstone, home to the British Grand Prix. The last race takes place on the German Hockenheimring. To catch all the action, tune in to the official stream on the Porsche Asia Pacific Forza Cup website on October 31.
