RaceRoom Porsche Pack to Release on 20 July

RaceRoom

After countless teasers, fans of RaceRoom finally know when the Porsche DLC pack will release. Coming on 20 July, it will include a trio of Stuttgart’s finest.

A few months ago, RaceRoom Racing Experience announced that it would overhaul its content release schedule. Rather than dropping bits and bobs every now and then, the team is set for a more regular and consistent content release plan.

The first release came in the form of the BMW M4 GT3 a few weeks ago and now it’s time for the first major pack. The Porsche Pack will include a trio of the best racers from the Stuttgart brand and a number of liveries. Set to release on 20 July, fans don’t have long to wait before getting their hands on the infamous models.

What’s in the Porsche Pack?

The first full-size DLC pack as part of the new RaceRoom release plan, the Porsche Pack is certainly full. Three cars will join the simulator as part of the pack; the Porsche 944 Turbo Cup, the Porsche 992 911 GT3 R and the Porsche 992 911 GT3 Cup.

Over the past week or so, RaceRoom has been showing off this selection in the form of screenshots on the game’s Steam page. Having seen each of the three models in-game, it’s certain that they will prove popular upon release. However, one car in particular may sit above the rest.

In fact, for the new GT3 Cup car, the KW Studios team has been working on preparing every 2023 Carrera Cup Deutschland livery. As a result, fans will be able to race the entire grid on every track the series visits this year. RaceRoom already features the championship’s entire track list; Red Bull Ring, Hockenheimring, Nürburgring, Sachsenring, Spa-Francorchamps, Lausitzring and Zandvoort.

Elsewhere, the 944 Turbo Cup is something of a ancestor to the modern GT3 Cup. Much different to the current rear-mounted flat-six, winged, driver aid-less beast, it follows the same spirit of providing a rung in the motorsport ladder for up and coming racers.

Finally, all-new Porsche GT3 car, the GT3 R, will join its third simulator on 20 July. It has already made its way to Assetto Corsa Competizione and iRacing. In the real world, it has had a slow start with few success stories to note. But that will all change in the sim world when it joins RaceRoom next week.
