Send Us Your SimRacing Expo Questions

Lots of news are expected this weekend at ADAC SimRacing Expo 2024. We want to involve those who cannot go: Send us your questions so we can try and get an answer for them!

As 2024 has entered its final quarter, the sim racing news situation is ramping up - not at least due to Assetto Corsa EVO, but it also plays a big part. At ADAC SimRacing Expo, the title will be publicly playable for the first time, but of course not everyone who wants to give it a go will be able to attend.

Similarly, plenty of hardware manufacturers are set to show their gear, ready for sim racers to run. As our team will be at the event, we want to cover as many interesting things as possible - and that also involves our community.

We know that plenty of you are very curious about software and hardware that is going to be shown and unveiled at the event, but as our community is global, only parts of it will make the trip to Dortmund from October 18 to 20. Despite this, we want to give you a chance to still make your questions heard within the sim racing world.

Got a burning question for Kunos Simulazioni regarding AC EVO on your mind or something we should look out for in a hands-on sessions? Wonder what to expect in regards to new gear? Or do you want to know something else entirely? Make sure to let us know your questions you want answered in the comments below, and we will make sure to chase the answers to them in Dortmund.

Meanwhile, be sure to check out the poll in the website side bar, and stop by our AC EVO forum to discuss the upcoming sim and see what other community members have on their wishlist for it.

And for those of you who are going to attend: Don't be afraid to say hi if you run into us in Dortmund!

Make sure to let us know your questions down below before the start of the event on October 18 - and keep your eyes peeled for an answer as soon as we can provide one!

Will Evo have rally or hill climb stages, even if only via a Kunos DLC pack? Is a livery editor planned? Do Kunos plan user-editing of TV replay cameras like iRacing? Any plan for LGV/HGV trucks, or motorbikes? Will snow or ice ever be possible on roads/tracks? Any plans to have tracks or tarmac areas with cones/jumps like Gymkhana?

Question: When will all you nerds stop larping as racing drivers, and admit you are just grown up people going to a games convention with very expensive game controllers? :p
I said I stop with that when I drive my first real life Nurb 24h ... since they changed the rule regarding licenses, I fear I have to keep going for a few years more haha

Moza active pedals, when, how much will they cost… can a single pedal be used as a brake along side non active heusinkveld ultimate + pedals for clutch and accelerator (like the SC active pedals extension box can do)?

Many thanks in advance.

Not related to this event nor what's being shown... perhaps a similar UK event at NEC?
There might already be one but I don't recall seeing advertised.
It could be combined with the annual Autosport International Show in January and have a separate hall?

Query: Update from Thrustmaster as to the future of the T818 line in regards to software or future developement would be greatly appreciated!

This is nothing. You should see guys who go to EVE Online conventions. They think they're space pilots, but they just fiddle with spreadsheets - the worst thing that can happen to them is they forget to press CTRL (or CMD) S.

At least we have actual danger when the sim bugs out and delivers the full force to our outrageously expensive DD wheels resulting in a trip to A&E, ER, or Notfallstation - we're living on the edge in comparison.

Well it does appear that the NEC Autosport show WILL have a sim racing area.
When I contacted the organisers part of their reply was...

"So we are now focusing on the growing Esports community, starting with a dedicated Esports area at ASI 2025. Our aim is to make the show the definitive UK Race Sim Expo."

Hopefully, this will be a "general" sim racing section rather than an Esports area.
As we have discussed in other threads the "market" for passively watching others races is not as great as the gaming software firms would like... and those that do aren't the people who are going to go out to spend large chunks of cash on hardware.

Will AC EVO allow AI drivers/bots in private online servers, so you can have a full grid even if it's just a few mates on the server?
