Ever since DIRT 5 was released in November, fans have been eating up the content provided to them by developer Codemasters. A recent Twitter post laid out the planned updates for the game in 2021.

The inclusion of private lobbies, new cars, and additional career events could be especially interesting for the fan base and something people have been vocal about since launch day. The current 75 tracks will also be joined by additional ones.

Another exciting hint is the addition of further customization options for the livery editor. If the promise is kept, DIRT could soon compete with other franchises like Forza in the custom design department.

The newly-introduced Playground feature will also receive more love this year. With over 100 new objectives, the mode will offer a lot more grind to those who are willing to put in the hours.

Some features are yet to be announced, but if Codemasters continue to listen to players, future updates could include a mile tracker or a replay system, for example. Players of the so-called “Amplified Edition” can also look forward to some exclusive content coming their way.

There is no word yet as to when the updates will arrive. The only certainty is that everything is looking to be done within 2021. Also unknown is if the updates will appear in bulk or individually, but either way, excitement is assured. At the end of 2021 DIRT 5 could look like a completely new game.
