About the Organiser

VCO have stepped up in 2022, with their flagship series being the multi-platform Esports Racing League but with other events like the 24-hour Infinity event. They also are partnered up with many other organisers of major virtual championships like the Digital Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie, the 24h eSports Series and Formula SimRacing.

Florian Haasper, CEO of Virtual Competition Organisation, spoke to OverTake about the expansion of the SIMMY AWARDS since the first edition:

With every edition, the VCO SIMMY AWARDS grow bigger. 2020 we started from scratch, driven by the idea to bring a high-level and widely respected award to the world of Esports racing. Since then it was all about gaining acceptance for the SIMMYS from the community, and in 2022 we have reached a new level in this respect. Almost 1,000 people sent in their nominations, the start of the voting phase was accompanied by a huge buzz. This trophy means a lot to the people and organisations that are nominated. This makes us proud. THE SIMMYS are about honoring and rewarding the key protagonists of the Esports racing season, backed not just us or a jury, but the community as such. I cannot wait to see who will win this year’s trophies.

The jury features representatives of many sim racing publications and organisers.
