People have been waiting for the release on Gran Turismo 7 for a long time now, and as such many of us are on the edge of our seats waiting to finally get our hands on the latest edition of the legendary racing game franchise. The new game brings the series to the ninth generation of console gaming in the form of the PS5, but it’s also available on the PS4 for those who haven’t yet managed to get their hands on the newest tech.
When can you play GT7?
The official release date for the game was originially scheduled for 2021, but after a delay in the production cycle it was shifted back to 4 March 2022. That’s just around the corner, but what time of day can players expect to be able to get behind the wheel?
If PS5 players have pre-ordered the game digitally, they will have noticed there is now a timer on their PlayStation 5 counting down to when the game launches. The game will go live at midnight in each individual region.
So, those who want to play the game as soon as its available should make sure to pre-install it beforehand. This way, your device will have all the necessary files in place and ready to go so that you won’t have to wait long at all once the clock strikes midnight.
As the game will release at midnight in every timezone, this means that players in New Zealand will be able to play Gran Turismo 7 a full 21 hours before players who are on the Pacific Standard timezone such as California can do so.
However, everyone around the world can rest assured that the game will be there when it hits midnight, and maybe you will be able to pull an all-nighter to really sink your teeth into all the new cars and features available in Gran Turismo 7.
