Publisher Nacon released a new trailer for their arcade racer WRC 9 FIA World Rally Championship, short WRC 9, to celebrate the game’s launch on the next-gen consoles on November 12.
The Accolades trailer highlights the polished graphics of WRC 9 and shows some reviews by various video game platforms. Overall, the rally game that was originally released on September 3 has received lots of praise from critics and the community alike. The career mode and the broad range of content were particularly appreciated, as Nacon pointed out in a press release this Thursday.
WRC 9 benefits from next-gen technology
Three months after its initial release, the game is now also available for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Players who own the versions for previous consoles can upgrade the title for free to its newer edition. On top of the launch, WRC 9 also added new stages in New Zealand, Japan and Kenya.
The game benefits from the new consoles for various reasons. First, the haptic feedback through the new PlayStation DualSense controller makes racing feel more realistic and provides far more feedback to the driver.
Second, both consoles feature 60fps and a 4k resolution which make the races appear much smoother and enhance the immersion. Additionally, the loading times are cut down drastically.
