Jardier about fairness in racing
Content creator Jaroslav ‘Jardier’ Honzik talks about the importance of fairness in racing. The Czech says he “would rather lose and have a better time and better fun as a gentleman.”
He also explains how the COVID-19 pandemic changed his view on his job as a YouTuber and Twitch streamer. “After getting hundreds of comments that people are looking forward to my streams and it’s helping them in their life, I thought that was just incredible. It changed all my view.”
What it’s like to manage an esports racing team
Danny Giusa has been racing virtually for years. But when he became manager of ad hoc gaming’s esports racing team, his view on the scene changed a lot.
In episode three, he tells that spending a lot of time on the simulator is not enough to become successful. “In esports racing, it’s not like you play 1000 or 2000 hours and you’re good. You need to understand how to set up the car.”
The Dutch queen of esports racing
MaximeMXM is well-known in the Dutch esports racing scene. The Dutchwoman is very experienced in competitive gaming, since she also participated in Call of Duty competitions on a high level.
M3lly and Maxime cover the representation of women in esports and gaming in general. Maxime has a clear call for all women in gaming: “If you are a girl out there and you are really good, just go for it, go for the tournaments. It’s great to see more girls at tournaments.”
What it takes to drive an endurance race
Endurance races are one of the biggest challenges a racer can tackle. Jarl Teien talked m3lly through his preparation for the 24H of Le Mans Virtual, the biggest esports racing event so far.
He also tells what it is like to practice alongside racing legends like Fernando Alonso and Rubens Barrichello and how real and virtual racers are able to learn from each other.
