Episode 6 | kev1n

m3lly welcomes kev1n, Team Green’s captain in OverTake’s Clash of Racers.

Our host Melek ‘m3lly’ Balgün welcomes esports veteran Kevin ‘kev1n’ Rubiszewski in this episode of Nitro Nights. Team Green’s captain looks back at the Clash of Racers, Overtake’s big launch event which took place last Sunday. The car enthusiast and former League of Legends pro tells m3lly how he got into esports racing.

“My Twitch chat told me to play F1 2019”

kev1n has been a successful Twitch streamer for years. He is mostly known for his League of Legends content. But the German is also a huge racing enthusiast. It was his Twitch chat which suggested him to play F1 2019. kev1n recounts that he quickly got hooked by the game.

Today, he regularly streams F1 2019 and upgraded his gear from an old G29 to a Fanatec F1 wheel. The Twitch streamer is not new to racing. Some years ago he lived close to the Nordschleife and was used to drive the Green Hell a lot.

“I loved the spirit of Clash of Racers”

Another big topic of the show is the Clash of Racers event by OverTake. kev1n was the captain of Team Green and fought alongside Dave Gaming, James Baldwin, MaximeMXM and community racer Kami. The racing afficionado was very excited to meet all the racers taking part in the competition.

kev1n and his team faced off against iRacing’s number one driver Max Benecke and his Team Red. While the atmosphere of the event was competitive the racers and captains also had a lot of fun, he shares. Looking back, Team Green’s captain summarizes that he “loved the spirit” of the event.

Overall, kev1n thinks that “esports racing deserves a lot of attention.” The streamer plans to stay in contact with his team for more races which we could see on his Twitch channel in the future.
