Nitro Nights Episode 16 | Enzo Bonito

Nitro Nights Episode 16 | Enzo Bonito

In this episode, Tom Deacon welcomes Ferrari Esports driver Enzo Bonito and has a big announcement to make.

In March 2020, Enzo Bonito made the biggest move of his life so far. The Italian signed a contract at the Ferrari Driver Academy team FDA Hublot Esports. Bonito has been well-known in the F1 Esports Series. This year, he lines up with current champion David Tonizza to win Ferrari’s first constructor’s championship in the F1 Esports Series.

Tom Deacon and he chat about the growing symbiosis of virtual and real racing. Enzo also tells us how Ferrari supports him as an esports racer and what’s it like working with the Leclerc brothers and many other Ferrari drivers.

A talent in esports and real racing

In 2019, Enzo’s name went viral in the sports scene worldwide. At Race of Champions in Mexico, the reigning eROC champion defeated several real racers. The racing world was shocked, when the young sim racer first outpaced three-time Indy 500 winner Ryan Hunter-Reay and only a day later former F1 pilot Lucas di Grassi.

Tom and Enzo talk about his talent in real racing and whether the Italian would like to stick to esports racing or try out new opportunities in a real competition.

This episode is a very special one because it will be the last online episode of Nitro Nights. But there’s no need to feel sad because we will we back next week when our show heads to the very first studio edition.
