Nitro Nights Stories Episode 4 | Jardier

YouTuber and Twitch streamer Jardier joins m3lly in our in-depth podcast. Now also available on Spotify!

Nitro Nights Stories is our biweekly podcast format in which we take an in-depth look at the most important topics of esports racing. You can be a part of the show by submitting your questions in the Twitch chat!

On Tuesday, July 21, m3lly welcomed the gentleman of esports racing, Jaroslav ‘Jardier’ Honzik to the show on our Twitch channel.

A contagious positive attitude

Jardier’s YouTube videos and Twitch streams spark joy in the community because of his contagious positive attitude. The Czech always wears a smile on his face and puts emphasis on the fun side of racing while also being competitive. His life motto is: “Do what you love because nobody will do it for you.”

His view on his profession changed a lot during the last months. Jardier believes that during the pandemic he started to feel way more responsibility. “After getting hundreds of comments that people are looking forward to my streams and it’s helping them in their life, I thought that was just incredible. It changed all my view.”

Fairness is key

Jardier is known as the ‘gentleman of esports racing’. He always puts the fun first in racing and wants to have a good time on his stream. His positive attitude is one of the main reasons why he is so popular in the community. On track, he is very competitive, but never unfair: “I’d rather lose and have a better time and better fun as a gentleman.”

He thinks that with gaining popularity, there’s a bigger responsibility to behave well. Not only for streamers, but also for every other professional driver in real and esports racing. “The professionals have people who are looking up to them. And I think that’s why the people have to behave correctly.”
