Acceptable Frame Rates for ACC

I have a triple 1440p screen setup using an RTX2070. Using mid graphics settings, I am getting around 40-50 fps with a full grid. What frame rates would I expect with a RTX2080? Would the difference in fps be very noticeable? Is there an video settings that have a huge impact on fps? I am planning to wait for the RTX3080 before updating the video card. Also, my displays are capable of 165Hz.

Any tips for optimizing the graphics setting are appreciated.

Triple screens at 1440p are very demanding, I doubt upgrading to a 2080 will give you the performance boost you are looking for, to run triples at 1440p I would guess at least a 2080 TI would be needed to be able to run good looking graphic settings. However I'm on an ultrawide 1440p so maybe someone with triple screens can provide more useful insights. I'm running a 2080 TI with most settings on the highest and mostly I get 90+ fps with some occasional fps dips.

I managed to get quite good fps (70+) with a 1070 TI on ultrawide 1440p, so you should definitely be able to tweak your fps with your current 2070.

I don't remember the settings I tweaked for the 1070 TI but the values for the following settings can have quite an impact on fps, try to play around with these:
  • Shadows
  • Post-processing,
  • Mirror view distance
  • Mirror quality
  • Opponents visible
Also make sure in Nvidia control panel that your displays are actually set to 165Hz in Windows, I have noticed that sometimes it is set by default to 60Hz even though the display has a higher refresh rate.

There is definitely a noticeable difference in how the game flows with fps >80 compared to 40-50, try setting everything to low and maybe scale down the resolution just to try it out to see how it feels. :)
