Adding a Buttkicker Gamer 2 to my sim, worth it?

Was thinking of buying a Buttkicker Gamer 2.

I have the Next Level Motion Platform V3 which already has the BK Gamer mount added.

Anyone have these? Would i benefit from having 1 attatched to the V3 Platform? I don't mind buying one but i hear conflicting reports on them and if i'm not going to feel the benefit due to having a moving platform then i'd spend the money on something else.

I also have the NLRv3 with the Buttkicker Gamer 2 and HIGHLY recommend it. Using the mount that came with the NLRv3 provides tons of feedback and I never felt the need for a more powerful unit. I've been using it since 2020 and have not had any issues with the amp (knocking on wood...). I have driven it using the NLR software, Simhub, and now directly from iRacing. I've found that for iRacing using the game to drive it offers the most realistic feedback.

I rate harness tensioning above tactile (because braking and cornering feedback),
but tactile for tire slip is also quite helpful, for games which provide useful telemetry.
I agree, although I was talking more about immersion, than driving feedback.

A seatbelt tensioner would help both i guess and is high on my list.

So would you guys install 4 transducers over a single buttkicker gamer 2? I dont mind buying either.

Im in the UK so i can pick up the Buttkicker Gamer 2 for about £250......But if i went with an Amplifier and 4 transducers .....what would i be looking into? Make /Model etc?

In my opinion, a Buttkicker Gamer 2 is a great investment and and easy entry point into tactile. You would enjoy it!

If you are looking for something "better", there is many options with investment from several hundreds to thousands.

Installing more than one unit opens a whole can of worms on how you want to setup the system. You need to think about areas like seat or pedals, that you want to excite, about proper isolation between those and probably about different units serving different purposes. The common idea to attach 4 units to the corners of your rig (and i wanted to do that too at some time) and enjoy directional sensations simply does not work, you will not be able to discern between them.

I would start with a Gamer 2 and see how you like it. It is resonably priced, easy to attach and works.

Edit: i went from a single Gamer 2 to a setup with dual LFEs, duel TSTs and dual mini LFEs. So i absolutely enjoyed it, but i would not have taken advice on the final setup in the beginning, if only for the cash involved.

Since you already have the Motion v3, I would highly recommend just starting with the Gamer 2 as the Motion v3 platform has an ideal mounting spot for one. That is what I have and it satisfies all my needs, and I don't really feel the need to upgrade to more than that.

4 corners (chassis mode) is discernable, but it needs to be tuned properly in software and consider unique physical mounting. My Racetech/MRX chassis has some flex because it is not the typical extruded aluminum channel -- so vibrations propagate more.
