AI nightmare

Guys,
Driving in an open practice session with 3-4 other cars, it frequently happens that I am just punted off the track from behind. It happens even when there is room to go around me.
Have to say it's pissing me off, especially after driving 4-5 laps and getting tyres warmed up and working.
Any thoughts?
Thanks

The primary reason for this is they're braking later than you. That means they're faster than you, at least into corners. Happens in R3E, as well.

I found that when I adjusted the AI Difficulty down it happened much less.

That all just means we need to practice and get faster.

You can also try adjusting AI Aggressiveness.

make a private practice, no other cars

you want cars, make them ghost (PLR file)
or practice harder

Thanks Shovas.
Where do I adjust those parameters?
I didn't see any AI options on the Open P screens.

When you select 'Race Weekend' on the main menu you will see 'Strength' (AI) low on the page just about (AI) Aggression level.
In my experience is is best to stay between 95-105% you can try to go lower but the Ai will be less realistic.
I use Aggression level Real but I know a lot of people prefer more aggressive levels!
Try 95% and limited the number of Ai to 8-12.
When you get consistent track times improve on the setup according to what you feel.
You do need patience as it takes a LOT of practice for most of us to make consistent times!
You can also find tips and tricks on this forum on how to improve the Ai behavior by editing .HDC files.
