AI refuel time

I got this issue for over a year and I found nothing to help yet!
When racing offline with AI on endurance races they got their pit for fuel, it's ok, not an issue here and they also change tires, so not an issue either, the problem I'm facing is that once they touch the pit stall the fuel tank got immediately refueled from zero to full, as consequence the pitstop lasts only the time to change the tires and it's wrong, for vintage cars at least, as the refuel time is longer than the time to change tires.
I've tested with Kunos original content and with mods, also tried to write in the mods (that didn't have) the refuel time in ai.ini.
Nothing I do seems do work, and my races are getting very frustrating because I need 60 seconds to refuel (Porsche 917k) and 20 seconds to change tires and when AI stops (the same Porsche 917k with refuel time set in ai.ini as default) they take only the time to change tires as their refuel is instantaneous, so I'm always 40 seconds off each pitstop.
How can I make the AI time to refuel work properly?
 
Just posted this in another thread as someone was having the same issue - but this thread contains a sort of fix I just discovered:


My fix was:
"Resurrecting an old thread here in case it helps someone - I also just had this issue in an endurance race using Vintage cars. I was running a 'Classic Le Mans' and was losing 30 seconds or so to the AI in every pitstop (needless to say the race didn't go well!)

On checking the replay and timing the pitstops, my stops were taking exactly the time specified per litre in the [PIT_STOP] section in 'car.ini'. However the AI seemed to refuel instantly and therefore their pitstops only took the time specified to change the tyres, giving them a huge advantage.

I changed the setting on the car I was using under 'FUEL_LITER_TIME_SEC=0.6' to '0.1' so the total time to refuel was roughly the same as the time to change tyres and this 'fixed' the issue.

It's a bit of a pain but worth doing if you want a decent endurance race with vintage cars - on newer cars I never noticed as the refuelling time is much quicker by default."

(You'll need content Manager to unpack the data.acd and edit the 'car.ini' file)

Yeah, I already new this and in fact I changed the time to make my pitstops faster, but you loose in immersion pitting a 60's or 70's car in 20 seconds just to make t feasible for a race.
It's really a shame that Kunos didn't do at least a fixed solution considering the parameter already exist in the file. Even with the gaming maturing and even they had vintage cars in their portfolio.
I've been asking to Ilja to work this fix, let's hope he do.

Hello! How do you know AI change tyres during their pit stops? Do their tyre compound markers change on the leaderboard - S, M, H?

I ask because I saw many conclusions on AC forums that AI don't change tyres during the races: they just put a medium from the start and roll on it till the end. And that's exactly what I have experienced so far.
