ARC Team Handbrake Issue - Please help

Hi Guys,

I have had this handbrake for almost 5 years. Recently I noticed the damper(if this is the right word) is not longer having the power/strength to return to its initial position.

Check the video below.

is there a way to fix it or I need to replace this?? If so, where can I find this very same damper?

Hello. You'll have to replace it.
I've done it twice before. I even put two of them in parallel to increase the resistance because I lengthened the lever and I could hardly feel the resistance of the piston anymore.

Take the one from 100 or 150. It depends how long the lever you use is. Be careful because the hole where the pin goes is smaller. To enlarge it use a file and not the drill because you risk overheating and burning the internal o-ring.

Unfortunately they do not ship to the UK, i have tried with another gas spring but was too big and i do not want to make any holes on the handbrake to match the size. I will have to keep trying to find it somewhere else.
