Assetto Corsa Hotfix Version 1.8.1 Released

Following the recent major update to version 1.8, Kunos Simulazioni have released another, smaller, hot fix to address some outstanding issues within Assetto Corsa.

With the team over at Kunos hard at work launching both 1.8 for PC and the release of Assetto Corsa on console, it was perhaps expected that a few little issues would sneak into the PC build of the game. However the studio have reacted quickly to the issues and yesterday released a small hotfix for the title, addressing many of the problems introduced with the release of version 1.8.

Updating Assetto Corsa to version 1.8.1, the latest patch adds further development in the reduction of shadow popup, new dashboard indicators for DRS in the Ferrari 488 GTB and various audio updates amongst other things. The full change log can be seen below:

• Launcher: reverted to pre-50 version of CEF for Vista compatibility
• Launcher default theme: various fixes for tags (sorting, case-sensitivity, cases where main car and upgraded car shared the same tag)
• Added DRS signal in 488 GTB dashboard
• Corrected inverted rear diffuser animation on 488 GTB
• Launcher default theme: do not check for video resolution discrepancies in windowed mode
• Tweaks on shadows bias, reintroduced last cascade fade in (reduce popup of distant objects)
• Modding: Added INVERTED key in ANIMATION_ section (wing_animations.ini) to invert the animation
• Corrected steer brake on McLaren MP4 12C and McLaren P1
• Fixed some drift cars UI tags to allow an easier filtering
• Fixed lap validity reset on open tracks (see Nordschleife Touristenfahrten)
• Fixed 488 GT3’s digital performance meter
• Tweaked Aventador SV exterior volume
• Tweaked Praga R1 interior volume

Version 1.8.1 was released for the PC version of Assetto Corsa, via Steam, on August 30th.

At a certain speed a part of the rear diffuser opens up, which acts as a DRS (drag reduction system) and a light comes on the dashboard to let the driver know that the wing is open IIRC

Since the 1.8.1 my loading times have reduced a lot, didn't notice that much when I got the 1.8 update.

After 1.8.1 the front menu is all glitchy , everything i hover over with the mouse flickers and if i click it it becomes partially blank .
System is GTX1060 ,i5 6600k .
Before update everything was all good .
