Blender addon to import "side_l/r.csv" or "fast_lane.ai" - why did this not exist ?

Blender addon to import
"side_l/r.csv" or
"fast_lane.ai" or
"ideal_line.ai" as mesh

Use "Install" button on preferences page or unpack to "...\Blender29\2.90\scripts\addons", not sure if working on 2.8, but it should.

After enabling here:

...you get two new entries in "import" menu:

Somehow ai line is rotated by 180°, after import you have to correct that, maybe also the scale of it all and/or position ;) .

Please Stop This updated Blender addon to import "side_l/r.csv" or "fast_lane.ai" with a new update entry:

fixed rotation of imported ai line

also note: imports "groove.csv" too

Which can be generated with esotics AI-Line helper since v1.7:

Please Stop This updated Blender addon: Import/Export .csv and .ai files with a new update entry:

v0.8 - 2020 sept 1st

-idk if this is needed at all, i think it does not really matter, in which order the list of border-vertices is, but i did it anyway
-added reverse option for CSV export
-added "shiftCount" option for CSV export, so you can change which index in list of vertices is taken first
-added (VERRRY slow) option to check for double vertices on CSV import

@magnum1097 lol to further aleborate a bit more on this ai-line export thing:

-try only small adjustments on ai line at a time
-dont use Relax tool or other stuff, it didn't work when it tried something like that
-stay with only moving vertices in edit mode, maybe proportional editing with smoothing on
-only the ideal line is changed, but that also affects borders in "...ai" file, they "move" with your changes - so you need to import your side_l/r.csv again
-good thing is you can export those "...wall_left/...wall_right" meshes (from ai-line import) as AC CSV "side_l/r.csv")

---edit: this is now obsolete after v0.9 update---
-somehow the imported ai-line is 2 meters above road, so maybe move 1 m down (maybe do it in edit mode with all vertices selected, dont move it in object mode, addon uses pure vertex coords, not world translated
-be warned that if you import more than one ai-line (or another csv with same filename) then my addon fails, as it assumes the same mesh-name everytime, but Blender has the crux if you add a new object with same same name it appends a number to make it unique, as a result this breaks the import

-if ai line seems to be broken and ac crashes, try again a second time
-if still not loading into game try to load your ailine in ksEditor, you need to have some fbx loaded before (maybe roadmesh) and then just save ai-line again with ksEditor

when you run into problems on import, what sometimes helps is this:
In outliner, switch to "Orphan data" view:

Then use the "Purge" button:

You need to confirm that by clicking on this:

---edit: i HOPE this is now obsolete too, after v0.9 update---

Oh and if you import stuff into a track file you already loaded, make sure you select "Scene Collection", not any sub-part.
Even this can fail with the ai-line placed elsewhere, then CTRL+Z to undo import, and just try importing again ;)
