Bloody buttons!

Hi folks.
I've had AMS2 for a long time and I've probably played it twice. The reason being I can't setup the buttons.

I have a DD1 and v2 rim, I have that selected in the options and I setup all the buttons as I want. The setup screen is happy, but half the buttons assigned don't work when driving. Oddly the setup screen thinks the buttons are all over the place, povs are buttons, buttons are pots etc.

I've done the same with a Custom setup, exactly the same thing happens, the setup screen is absolutely happy with all the buttons I've set, but they don't work when driving apart from the throttle, brake and steering.

I go back to AMS every time there's an update to see if this is fixed but no luck so far.

Now I know there are a bucket load of people with the exact setup I have, so what are they doing that I'm not? Could someone please let me know what to do to get this working, I'd love to be driving more.

I dont own a DD1 or 2 so cant help. Another chance at resolve will be to investigate here: https://forum.reizastudios.com/forums/automobilista-2-general-discussion.42/. Lots of helpfull AMS2 drivers also.
