Blurry image in VR

Rolf Berge 68

@Simberia
I have not used ACC since November and when i did fire it up today the image is very blurry in vr, the menus are clear but the rest looks awful, so what is going on? I use the HP Reverb and it was not like this at all back in november.

Depends on the hardware. I'm on Reverb and with the few tricks we all know, I'm at 90 fps /11ms 90% of the time.

Giving up on probably the most compelling sim because of some not too well optimized eye candy features is only one of the possible choices.

Will do a reinstall first and then upsampling on Steam with one of the two options in above and turn down post processing and shades.

Tried all engine.ini, I am happy with stock.

This is for whoever is on the fence and gets misleaded by the posts in above.

Is there any condensed detailed guide of these 90 fps settings?
I see that Kunos added VR presets, but not sure they are optimal.
Thanks

Using Oculus Rift S

Although I can get a superior image in AC I am using 100% graphics scale with 125% VR resolution. Sharpness at 300% and anti aliasing is high on TXX? Most other settings are high with both the foliage settings as well as mirrors on low. It looks reasonable to me. It holds 90FPS on all tracks even in rain with no other cars on track.

With AI cars it won’t hold 90FPS so I bump the VR resolution to 145% to force the game to stay at 40FPS ASW. I must be lucky as the ASW mode on the Rift S doesn‘t look bad to my eyes. I see the difference, but can deal with it.

Thats using an i7 4770k @4.3mhz and a 1080Ti.

It's not about being lucky, it's about choosing the correct HMD over other fancy offerings :p
