Buttkicker.. Am I missing something?

Hello guys,

I don't know where to post my questions, so plz give me answers or direct me about which forum I should ask in.

I have:
Fanatec CSP V3
Fanatec CSW V2
Buttkicker Gamer 2 (just one for seat vibrations).
ASUS ROG STRIX Z370-H GAMING
Realtek SupremeFX (S1220A)
Plantronics RIG 500E
Assetto Corsa
I will get either or:
SimShaker Wheels
Simvibe

And the questions:

1- I tried connecting the Buttkicker amplifier to the front audio output and the rest of the audio devices to the I/O output.
I installed SimShaker Wheels.
The sound is working and the Buttkicker is working (really gentle and you can barely feel the vibrations, as I like it).
I read a million times in many forums that the Bittkicker will not be working unless I buy a dedicated sound card because no PC is able to perform 2 separate audio outputs at once without an extra separate sound card. It even says so in the requirements. so the question is: Am I missing something?

2- My headphone came with an extra peace taht can be connected to a USB port, I think they call it a DAC. can it be helpful in my case?

3- I tried Fanaled app before, and it gives fake brake vibrations every time you press the pedal.
I tried connecting my pedals to my CSW V2 and no rumble vibrations.
so
Before I buy SimShaker, I read in one page that Simvibe can even output vibrations to the Fanatec Clubsport Pedals V3, does that mean I can get real vibrations to the motors fixed on the pedals based on real physics data? or they were only speaking about Simvibe operating a Transducer fixed close to the pedals and not the pedals themselves?

Should I connect the Buttkicker amplifier to the audio output

You must have the program SIMVIBE4. Go to the net...

I can answer questions 1 and 2.

You need to connect your amp (via rca cable) to the sound card audio port on your pc (via the other end of said rca cable, which is the 3.5 mm jack).

Use either green or black audio port. You should see colorful audio ports (about 4 to 6 if them) at the back of your pc. Locate the green or black audio ports. You'll connect your amp to one of those. NOT the front audio port on your pc.

Yes you are right, the pc cannot output 2 separate audio sources at the same time. BUT, since you have a set of headphones with its own usb sound card, simply connect that to an available usb port on your pc, that will be your audio/sound. You can also use your tv or monitor if they have built in speakers. So with the above setup, you ONLY need your pc's sound card. If you plan on connecting more than 4 shakers, then a second sound card would be required.

Simply go into windows sound settings, and make sure your pc sound card is set to "communication default device." Then set your usb headphones to "Default Audio Device). (your headphones should show up as usb audio device or the actualname of your headphones)

Question 3, I have no knowledge of Simvibe being used with Fanatecs pedals. You'll have to visit their website for that. They update simvibe regularly, it just works, and I've had no issues where i needed support from their site.

But follow the setup above and your shaker should be up n running. Audio Setup should be the same for SSW if you want to go with SSW. Both are good... Its all about personal preference.

Thank you very much!
I followed the steps until "set your headphones as default audio device in Windows sound settings", I cannot choose "default audio device" for any audio device of those I have, simply it´s not activated so you can´t click on it. I did what you said about making the sound card default communication device.
As for the connections, I will try them tomorrow and then tell you how it goes, because I do not want to wake any neigbor up now.

Thank you again, these information are priceless and I am still a noob in these things.
