Hi. I'm sure that this is basic 101 you guys but I'm having a little difficulty getting Assetto Corsa to recognize a downloaded file. I downloaded it, then extract it and put it in the appropriate cars or track file, yet AC does not show the new car or track in its choices. I must be doing something fundamentally wrong. Windows 10 machine. Any suggestions? Appreciate.
Downloading and installing cars/tracks

AC won't recognise the car/track if it is running in the background, including the launcher. Have you double checked that you have copied them to the correct folder:
..\steamapps\common\assettocorsa\content\cars
..\steamapps\common\assettocorsa\content\tracks
and not the AC folders in your Documents folder.

Thank you for responding. Those are the two folders where I placed the files. I experimented with one downloaded file for cars and one for tracks. Should I try two different ones as a test?
