F1 custom Skins 2022

I want to install the F1 skins 2022 along with the real names of the drivers. Just wondering if anyone noticed any performance issues (FPS)using the custom skins?
Any system crashes, etc ? Sometimes mods can mess up things from what I’ve learnt over the years. Thanks

Is there a "How to" guide on installing car skins and custom AI for AMS2? Watched a bunch of youtube vids that didnt work. Really want to run the F1 2022 skin pack. Your help is much appreciated.

This question gets asked about once a week and I've replied to various ppl in various threads about the skins in question. All the info for installing liveries should be in the thread for that mod. Or, have a look through some of the other skin download threads - they are all the same when it comes to installation.

From the skin pack you are asking about:
"HOW TO INSTALL:
- Just drag the "Vehicles" and the "UserData" Folder from the .rar to the root folder of the game and overwrite EVERYTHING!"
The root of your AMS2 folder is this: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Automobilista 2\Vehicles\
It is really that simple.

Any suggestions if I follow the (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Automobilista 2\Vehicles\ path and there is not a Automobilista2 folder in the "common" folder?

So you are running AMS2 in Steam? If you are using Steam, then your root install will always look like that above. All your installed games that use steam should be in that Common folder. If not, then you need to find where you have installed AMS2.

Yes running AMS2 in Steam. Moved it to the C drive. Common folder now shows AMS2/vehicles/. Downloaded F1 2022. Extracted and moved F12022 files. Files show in the folders but skins do not appear in game. When I moved files it did not ask to "overwrite everything". ????

You've put them in the wrong place probably. Forget the vehicles bit, thats one step in to the hierarchy of the folders. You only need to put the Ams2 folder and all its contents into the common folder. Once again: Open the download file -extract to desktop or downloads folder. Find the AMS2 folder and drop it in the common folder. it should be all you need to do. If you have gone in one step from the AMS2 folder, then copy the Vehicles folder and the User Data folder into the AMS2 folder in the common folder and overwrite the two with the same name. If not, then you need to study the heirarchy of the skins folders inside AMS2. There's plenty of descriptions in the many, many download skins threads.

Thank you for all your input. I deleted F1 2022 from vehicles/user data and dropped it in the common folder. The skins appear in game now. Thanks again.
